I had literally one of the better nights of my life at Karlovy last night. It was so awesome to be able to go up and down to hear different types of music and the music was so good!
My roommates and I thought the metro closed at 12:30am...definitely closes at 12 so we had to figure out how to get to the club. We ended up getting on the correct tram but a Canadian guy told us how to get there (we thought we could trust English speakers...) but he ended up taking us miles past the club so we had to walk all the way back, and the stop we were going to get off at was perfect so never trusting anyone else again with directions.
When we first got to the club, there were sooo many guys and very creepy ones but we ended up finding a good floor. It's funny how Americans stick together and try to find more Americans while we're out. I actually met someone who knew someone from my high school because they go to USC together...so random.
It was getting towards 4 am and most of us were ready to go but we stayed a bit longer and that's when it got weird. So many men would just come up to me and stare at me and not leave, all of the guys we were with had to keep pushing the creepy guys away. We finally left (as the sun was coming up) which I can say was definitely a true going-out experience in Europe.
I woke up around 1:30 today and had a rather lazy day. It was nice to catch up with the fam and such! My roommates and I met up with 2 other girls and saw an improv show night. Quite hilarious actually! It's really amazing to be in a city and have so many things to do like shows or festivals or farmers markets. Originally when I applied to colleges I wanted to be in a big city hence my love towards the Boston schools so it's awesome to be able to experience the life I once dreamed of. (Though big cities have nothing on the greatness that is Ann Arbor!)
As we were walking back, it started to pour and of course I happened to be wearing sandals, no jacket, and had no umbrella. Such a rough life. The weather looks pretty dreary for awhile which is a huge bummer!
Tomorrow I'm forcing myself to wake up early and have breakfast at a cafe before class. I sincerely hope I stick to this plan because I'm wasting so much of my days here sleeping!
I'm also planning a trip with some friends to Munich next weekend so hopefully everything gets figure out soon. Can't wait to start travelling around!
Love and miss y'all
